At Calpe Dental, we use digital x-rays to check teeth. We are equipped with a panoramic x-ray machine and a smaller x-ray facility to take bitewing* and periapical* x-rays.
How are x-rays useful?
X-rays are the only way to spot problems that can’t be seen directly. For a complete dental check-up, they are essential. This way, our dentist can make sure you aren’t developing problems that can become really serious later.
* bitewing
For a bitewing x-ray, you hold or bite on a piece of plastic with x-ray film inside it. Such an x-ray will reveal problems between your teeth.
* periapical
Periapical x-rays display the whole of a single tooth.
