After we have removed all decay from your tooth, we need to put something in its place to make sure the tooth goes on working as it should.
Amalgam (silver) fillings
Amalgam fillings were used for many years. They are no longer used widely. (See Dr Weinberg’s article on dental amalgams.)
Composite fillings
We are an amalgam-free surgery and use the highest quality composite materials for dental fillings and rebuilding teeth. Composite material, when placed correctly, is hard wearing and gives a great cosmetic look.
